neurodsp.aperiodic.conversions.convert_exponent_hfd¶
- neurodsp.aperiodic.conversions.convert_exponent_hfd(exponent)[source]¶
Convert exponent to expected Higuchi fractal dimension value.
- Parameters
- exponentfloat
Aperiodic exponent value, representing a 1/f distribution.
- Returns
- hfdfloat
Predicted Higuchi fractal dimension value.
Notes
This works for exponents between [-1, -3] (inclusive). As a special case, if exponent is 0, Higuchi Fractal Dimension is 2.
